Iraq’s Kurdistan, symbolic example for democracy in Middle East Region, Barzani says

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The President of northern Iraq‘s Kurdistan Region, Massoud Barzani, has said on Tuesday that his Kurdistan Region had been the first power in the downfall of (Iraq‘s former) dictatorship and had become a “symbolic” example for the establishment of a democratic system in the Middle East Region. “Kurdistan Region had surpassed other countries in the (Middle East) Region, as regards to the downfall of the dictatorship,” Barzani told the Speaker of the Belgian Congress, D.Bethon, during his visit to Brussels, stressing that “Kurdistan Region is considered a symbol in the establishment of a democratic system in the (Middle East) Region.” Barzani also confirmed that “the democratic process is a continuous progress in his Region, day afer day.”
