Fifth floating pier expected in Basra – official

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: There are intentions to establish the fifth floating oil exporting pier after completing the other four currently under implementation, the Director General of the South Oil Company said today. The four piers are expected to be finished by 2013 or at the beginning of 2014. Dhia al-Mussawi told IraqiNews.com that the first floating pier will start exporting operations at the end of this year. He hoped that by the end of 2013 or beginning of 2014, Iraq will export 5-6 million b/d. Iraqi oil ministry contracted with a number oil investing companies to reach the production capacity to 12 million b/d by 2015.
