 Kurdistan RegionG supplies 3 electricity generators for Khanaqin district

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Electricity of Kurdistan Regional Government announced allocating three electricity generators with capacity of (25 MVA) for Khanaqin district of northeastern Baquba.

The website of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan reported that “A high class delegation has arrived from the Ministry of Electricity of Kurdistan Region, headed by the Minister of Electricity, Yasen Abo Bker, accompanied by advisors from the Ministry and five General Directors as well as four managers of various specialties, has arrived into Khanaqin city in order to take close look to the situation of electricity in the city especially that the city suffer of deterioration since week ago as a result of the damage of a number of electric generators,” noting that “the percentage of the electricity distribution reduced to half of their rates.”

The website added that “The Director of the Electricity Department in Khanaqin district, Sami Jihad, explained that the government as an initial step has repaired three generators in order to regain the former status of the electricity power
