Haditha electric station rehabilitated

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Electricity announced the completion of the rehabilitation works on the first unit of Haditha Dam Hydro-Electric Station after completing the preliminary tests for the unit.

Spokesperson of the Ministry Musab al-Mudaris said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com “The first unit now is ready for operation,” noting that “The unit was stopped since the events 1991.”

He added “The Haditha Station comprises six hydro-electric units of 110 mega-watts per each unit,” stressing that “Rehabilitation works were done by the Croatian Ankra Company.”
