Iraqi security rid of footwear insulting to Christianity in Kirkuk

Kirkuk (IraqiNews.com) Iraqi security on Friday confiscated and rid of amounts of footwear with designs deemed insulting to Christianity, news report said.

Alsumaria News said national security squads mobilized after receiving reports about footwear bearing logos insulting insulting to Christianity on sale at a number of shops in Kirkuk province.

It added, quoting a security source, that agents damaged the merchandise subject to the complaints and obtained official assurance from the merchants not to import similar items again.
