MoA conducts veterinarian survey for Toxoplasmosis

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The General Company for Veterinary within the Ministry of Agriculture completed “A project for veterinarian survey for Toxoplasmosis disease in the productive animals across all provinces except for the Kurdistan Region.”

The Company cited in a statement that “It confronts a serious disease that affects the human being and cause abortion cases for pregnant women. The Toxoplasmosis is one of the common transitional diseases in which the animals play a key role in its spread and transmission.”

“The specialized veterinarian teams conducted an inclusive survey in all provinces save for the Iraq in order to adopt precautionary measures that might be applied in fields of animal products and general health,”

The statement continued saying “It is hoped to continue this project and develop it in 2012 through the cooperation with the health Ministry and the relevant Ministries.”
