MoP increases annual budget of Mahaweel district

Babel (IraqiNews.com) The Council Chairman of Mahaweel district, Abdul Karim Saheb Hamad, announced that “The Ministry of Planning approved to increase the distinct 2012 budget from IQD 19 billion to 29 billion.” Hamad said “Increasing the budget came because Mahaweel Council objected its previous budget since the district makes up 6% of Babel population so it needs a lot of projects to improve the service.” The Council of Mahaweel district (30) KM, to the north of Hilla City of central Babel province have threatened, on last May, to file a lawsuit against Babel Provincial Council because of the unfair budget allocated to the district.
