13 wanted men captured in Ninewa

NINEWA / IraqiNews.com: A total of 13 wanted men were arrested during crackdown operations in separate areas of Mosul, the official spokesman for the Ninewa operations command said on Wednesday. “Seven wanted men were arrested during crackdown operations by security forces in al-Sukar and Baladiyat region in northern Mosul,” Brig. Khaled Abdul Sattar told IraqiNews.com. “Two more wanted men, one of them is Egyptian, were arrested by Iraqi army in Adan neighborhood in eastern Mosul,” he said, noting that the forces also detained four wanted men in Talafar district, west of Mosul. Mosul, the capital city of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad. The original city of Mosul stands on the west bank of the Tigris River, opposite the ancient biblical city of Nineveh on the east bank, but the metropolitan area has now grown to encompass substantial areas on both banks, with five bridges linking the two sides.
