5 arrested after stealing ID25m from gas station

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Police forces in Wassit on Sunday arrested five persons after they had stolen 25 million Iraqi dinars (around $21,000 U.S. dollars) from a gas station in the province. “A force from the information and national investigations department in al-Numaniya neighborhood arrested a five-member gang who carried out an armed robbery at a gas station on al-Numaniya-Dabouni road, Sumar area, and stole ID20 million, $3,700 U.S. dollars and eight mobile phones,” according to a statement released by the Ministry of Interior’s relations and media department and received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “Those arrested have been taken to the court,” the statement added.
