6 killed in accidental explosion in Basra

BASRA / IraqiNews.com: Six persons were killed through incorrect detonation of military explosives north of Basra, security sources said today. The deceased were working in a mine removal company. The source told IraqiNews.com that the six met their death, including two officers, who were working to remove mines located close to an oil investment company in Basra. Many mine removal companies are working with the oil investment companies in north and west Basra, 590 km south of the capital, Baghdad, because most exploration areas are situated in spaces full of mines.
