Iraqi forces kill 43 ISIS militants, liberate al-Askari in central Biji

Salahuddin (IraqiNews.com) On Saturday, a source within Salahuddin Operation Command revealed, that the army forces have managed to kill 43 ISIS elements and retake the neighborhood of al-Askari, located in central Biji.

The source informed IraqiNews, “This afternoon, army forces backed by the Iraqi Volunteer forces (known as al-Hashed al-Sha’bi fighters) clashed with the ISIS group militants in the neighborhood of al-Askari, located in central Biji,” noting that, “The violent clashes resulted in killing 43 elements of the ISIS group and removing 15 explosives from the area.”

“Security troops are advancing slowly on foot into the center of the district,” the source added.
