3 Sahwa elements killed in Tikrit [05/18/2013]

Salah il-Din (IraqiNews.com) Three Sahwa elements were killed due to an armed attack targeting Sahwa checkpoint to the north of Tikrit city.

Security source told IraqiNews.com on Saturday “Armed group opened fire targeting Sahwa checkpoint in Siniya sub-district of western Beji district to the north of Tikrit city, capital of Salah il-Din province. The attack resulted in killing three Sahwa members.”

“Ambulances rushed to the incident spot to transport the dead bodies of the victims to the morgue,” the source added.
