150 ISIS elements killed in battles around al-Ramadi

Diyali (IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, the head of Diyali province Oudai al-Khadran announced that, 150 ISIS elements have been killed today in clashes that took place in different areas around al-Ramadi.

Al-Khadran stated for IraqiNews, “In the early hours of the dawn, security forces accompanied by volunteer battalions Kurdish fighters have begun an extensive operation to liberate al-Rabiya, Bannei, Yassin, al-Latiniya, al-Asaker, al-Aseriya and Kobra base. The offensive operation resulted in killing 150 ISIS militants and destroying 2 Humvee vehicles before used in suicide bombings.”

The leader of Diyali police, Gen. Officer Gamil al-Shamri announced earlier today that, an operation to liberate the eastern side of al-Saidiya in northeast Baqubah is to begin, adding that the Iraqi security forces has already gained large territories around the district of al-Saidiya.
