Atroushi: Due of oil foreign firms to be paid from 2013 budget

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Firhad al-Atroushi, of the Kurdistani Alliance announced that “The government will pay the dues of the foreign oil companies working in Kurdistan Region from the budget of 2013 if it is not able to pay them all from the budget of 2012.”

He stated to IraqiNews.com “The Central Government paid 650 millions USD from the dues and still there 300 millions to be paid during the next two months.”

Earlier, the Federal Government and the Kurdistani Regional Government reached agreement over paying the dues of the foreign oil companies working in Kurdistan Region.

The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, called the parliament to speed up endorsing the Oil and Gas law.
