Mosawi accuses Kurdistan Region of smuggling oil to other countries

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Samira al-Mosawi, of the Independents bloc within the State of Law Coalition accused Kurdistan Region of smuggling the Iraqi oil to other countries in cooperation with Exxon Mobil Company.

In a press statement received by Iraqi News, she said Kurdistan Region in cooperation with Exxon Mobil Company is exporting the Iraqi oil to some countries such as Turkey and Iran without notifying the government and this is a violation to the constitutions and laws.”

She warned the cooperative countries with Kurdistan Region from” Exploiting the Iraqi oil because it belongs to the Iraqi people and they have the right to have it.”

“Exxon Mobil is sided with Kurdistan Region and this will create troubles in other provinces such as Basra and will make problems between the Kurds and the Arabs where we try to avoid such troubles,” she added.

She called to “Stop the contract with Exxon Mobil and smuggling the oil by Kurdistan Region in order to keep the unify of Iraq.”
