Nusayif warns from politicizing IHEC

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aliya Nusayif, of the Hurra Iraqiya bloc called “To nominate the members of the Independent High Electoral Commission on the basis of the professionalism rather than confessionalism.”

She assured in a press statement by her bloc “It is very important to consider the professionalism and the experience in nominating the IHEC members and to avoid partisan and the sectarian affiliations.”

“The independency and the neutrality of the independent commissions, especially the IHEC, must preserved due to its crucial significance,” she added.

She warned from “Politicizing the IHEC by adopting confessionalism because such attempts which represent foreign wills violate the law and against the Iraqis interests.”
