Kurdish delegation headed by Barzani arrives in Baghdad

(IraqiNews.com) On Sunday, the Kurdish negotiation team headed by KRG President Barzani arrived in Baghdad to meet with the central government officials and discuss the issue of oil exports and a number of other leading issues.

According to an informed source, president of the Kurdistan Regional Government Nechirvan al-Barzani arrived this morning to Baghdad at the head of a delegation from the provincial government.

The accompanying delegation will meet with PM Haider al-Abadi and central government officials to discuss the issue of exporting 550 thousand oil barrels per day from fields in Kurdistan and Kirkuk to the Turkish port of Ceyhan on behalf of the Iraqi government, in return for the latter sending the region’s share of the federal budget, estimated at 17%.
