Parliament votes on formation of committee to investigate fall of Mosul

(IraqiNews.com) On Thursday, the House of Representatives voted on the formation of an investigative committee to investigate the reasons behind the fall of the city of Mosul at the hands of the ISIS organization.

MP Kamil Zaidi said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, “The House of Representatives voted during its meeting today on the formation of an investigative committee specialized in investigating the reasons for the fall of Mosul at the hands of the terrorist organization.”

Iraqi Council of Representatives held on Thursday its second session of the Legislative Chapter II, headed by Salim al-Jubouri, and the presence of 251 deputies, while a parliamentary source confirmed that the meeting will vote on the draft law of the Ministry of Health, and the formation of the investigative committee of the fall of Mosul.

It is noteworthy that the elements of ISIS managed in June of last year to invade the city of Mosul, seizing control of large parts of the city.
